Planning Your Vacation in Boracay? Beware of Illegal Tour Guides

With the expected influx of tourists this summer, police authorities in Boracay intensified their campaign against illegal tour guide and commissioners preying on the visitors of this resort island. Police Officer 3 Christopher Mendoza, Police Community Relations Officer of Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) said only registered tour guides and coordinators are allowed to transact business with tourist. Mendoza said that they received several complaints against some tour guides and commissioners who took advantage of their guests by overpricing them.

“Some tour guides are collecting money from their guests in advance for some island-hopping activities but does not show up on the scheduled day,” he said. Mendoza said that BTAC has started confiscating brochures and other marketing materials from illegal tour guides and commissioners mostly roaming at the White Beach area. He reminded tourists to transact business with legitimate tour guides only.Tour guides are required to have a license and be accredited by the Department of Tourism. Aside from illegal tour guides and commissioners, the police will also start apprehending ambulant vendors along the White Beach, which is a common complaint among tourist.

I'm willing to SHOW YOU how I did it! I love helping others break through and make their first commission online. Wouldn't it be nice to stay at home and make your own schedule? No more long commutes? No more waking up to an alarm clock? IT IS POSSIBLE.

Cebu Pacific Air warns the public to take extra precautions and verify flight details and other ancillary services directly with the airline if bookings were made through Online Travel Agents (OTAs) such as Skiddoo and Traveloka.

Since these OTAs have neither authority from, nor permission to transact in behalf of Cebu Pacific, any flight bookings or reservations made by or through them might not be reflected in Cebu Pacific's booking reservation system. Moreover, requests for ancillary services such as meals, seat selection and baggage allowance might not also be reflected in the Cebu Pacific booking system since these OTAs are not synced to that of the airline.

In addition, since these unauthorized OTAs are not linked to the Cebu Pacific booking system, the airline does not have the contact details—which are important for the airline to relay information in case there are flight changes.
We urge the travelling public to double-check bookings made with OTAs to avoid any inconvenience. Whenever possible, we encourage travellers to book flights only via the official Cebu Pacific website,; through the CEB Mobile App; or through the reservation hotlines (+632)702-0888 or (+6332)230-8888. The travelling public may also transact with legitimate sales agents to book flights and ancillary services with Cebu Pacific.
They will also provide updates on the latest seat sales and promos on their official social media pages:
